  El autor del artículo se pregunta si el marco europeo de competencias puede reubicar el sentido de las enseñanzas de la religión en la escuela a la altura de los retos que la educación tiene en el siglo XXI y de qué forma la enseñanza de la religión puede contribuir a reforzar las competencias de los educandos para su desarrollo como personas, para la inclusión en el mercado laboral y para el desarrollo de una ciudadanía activa y democrática.

  The author of the article wonders if the European framework of competences can relocate the meaning of the teachings of religion in the school to the height of the challenges that education has in the 21st century and in what way the teaching of religion can contribute to strengthen the competences of students for their development as individuals, for inclusion in the labor market and for the development of an active and democratic citizenship.
