    El presente artículo se centra en los múltiples significados que encierra Mecanistiario, el último trabajo del ilustrador Enrique Quevedo. Una serie de elementos que se presentan al lector como expresiones que articulan o dan paso a otras realidades. El mundo del preconsciente será, para el lector y el autor, el escenario en el que se producirán todas las ideas. Basta con abrir la primera página del Mecanistiario para darnos cuenta de que este libro con forma de acordeón encierra mucha más información de la que aparentemente el autor ofrece a primera vista. Aun siendo un trabajo concebido para el público infantil, múltiples metáforas se entrecruzan bajo el interés estético del Steampunk –género literario heredero nacido en la ciencia ficción-. Formas complejas que exploran nuevas sendas creativas y conceptuales trasladadas al mundo del libro infantil.

    This article focuses on the multiple meanings that Mecanistiario contains, the last work of the illustrator Enrique Quevedo. A series of elements that are presented to the reader as expressions that articulate or give way to other realities. The world of the preconscious will be, for the reader and the author, the stage in which all ideas will be produced. It is enough to open the first page of the Mechanist to realize that this book with an accordion form contains much more information than apparently the author offers at first sight. Although a work conceived for children, multiple metaphors intersect under the aesthetic interest of Steampunk - literary genius heir born in science fiction. Complex forms that explore new creative and conceptual paths translated into the world of children’s books.
