Resumen de Propuestas para el aprovechamiento del patrimonio geomorfológico costero entre Santander y Liencres (Cantabria)

  La conservación del patrimonio geomorfológico no atiende únicamente a la protección de unos elementos por su interés científico, educativo y divulgativo, sino que representa, además, una herramienta para poder aprovechar los servicios ambientales que ese tipo de patrimonio natural puede facilitar. De ahí que, siguiendo las últimas directrices europeas en ámbito de protección y gestión, en esta contribución se proponen unas actuaciones para una parte del patrimonio geológico costero de Cantabria, que permitirían su protección y conservación, a la vez que supondrían las bases para un uso didáctico y divulgativo, y para el desarrollo de nuevas actividades socio-económicas del entorno. En conjunto, representa la protección y el uso sostenible del una parte importante de nuestro patrimonio natural.

  The conservation of the geomorphological heritage could not be represent only the protection of some elements due to them scientific, educational or knowledgement interest but, it could be represent a tool for a good use of the environmental services that such type of heritage can provides. From this point of view and following the European guidelines, in this contribution some proposals for the coastal geological heritage of Cantabria are presented. The objectives are the conservation of the geological heritage as well as, educational and dissemination activities and the development of new socio-economic activities. Those proposals would represent the protection and the sustainable use of an important part of our natural heritage.
