    Basing ourselves on what has been debated during the conference dealing with the latest things in archaeology, we have tried to put together - through the present study, different data collected on the Villae located in the Southern part of Aquitaine and the Northern part of Spain during the late Antiques.The Pyrenees range being the one and only border putting these two provinces of the Pars Occidentalis apart, we may raise the question of what is common and what is different about the organisation of these territories located both in France and Spain.First, we’ll give our own accurate definition of a Villa, as well as a descriptive account on where and when they can be found — that is, their breakdown in both space and time. Next, we will present a global study of the networks to which the Villae fully belong.Finally, we’ll analyse the way these estates — homes to the landed aristocracy — evolved from a morphological and functional point of view, from the fifth Century onwards

    Dans le cadre de ce colloque qui portait sur les nouveautés en archéologie, notre étude a consisté à mettre en commun des données sur les uillae d’Aquitaine méridionale et d’Espagne septentrionale durant l’Antiquité tardive. Seule la chaîne des Pyrénées sépare ces deux provinces de la Pars Occidentalis et il était légitime de se poser la question des récurrences et/ou des différences sur l’organisation de ces territoires franco-hispaniques. En premier lieu, nous préciserons notre définition de la uillaainsi que sa répartition dans le temps et dans l’espace. Nous proposerons ensuite une étude générale des réseaux dont la uillaest partie prenante. Nous nous poserons enfin la question des évolutions morphologiques et fonctionnelles de ces domaines aristocratiques ruraux au-delà du V siècle.
