En este texto se presenta el resultado de un estudio de reflexión analítica sobre la función del interés y de las pasiones en la teoría hegeliana de la historia, con un breve esbozo sobre uno de los aspectos más importantes del siglo de las luces (la idea de progreso y telos) donde el joven Hegel se hace heredero de esta tradición ilustrada sintiendo desde sus primera obras su optimismo en el progreso de la humanidad.
This article presents the result of an analytical reflection on the role of interest and passion in Hegel’s theory of history. It also provides a brief outline of one of the most important aspects of the age of enlightenment - the idea of progress and telos. It is then when Hegel becomes an heir to this illustrious tradition at a young age, conveying his optimism toward progress of humanity from his earliest works.
