    Cuando pensamos en el cuerpo religioso, directamente pensamos en su valor sagrado y profano, si enfrentamos estos dos conceptos tendemos a contraponerlos, ya que, aparentemente, no pueden compartir un mismo lugar o si lo comparten, van a estar eclipsándose o anulándose constantemente. De ahí parte la necesidad de hacer interpretaciones del cuerpo religioso desde el arte y la religión, no desde el contexto histórico que muestra como estas dos instituciones se han complementado, sino desde los conflictos que generan en una persona que es artista y que al mismo tiempo se define como creyente cristiana evangélica pentecostal, puesto que se comprender como contrarias. El presente artículo parte de una investigación autorreferencial que se basa en la importancia del cuerpo dentro de una producción artística profanadora que no recurre al uso clásico de la iconografía religiosa, sino que hace uso de simbolismos y reflexiones de un contexto cercano que va desde el ámbito confesional sagrado, hasta el uso de materiales profanos y mundanos.

    Lorsque nous pensons au corps religieux, nous pensons directement à sa valeur sacrée et profane : si nous confrontons ces deux concepts, nous avons tendance à leur opposer, car, apparemment, ils ne peuvent pas partager le même endroit ou s'ils le partagent, ils tenteront constamment de s’éclip-ser ou de s’annuler. D'où la nécessité d'interpréter le corps religieux à partir de l'art et de la religion, non pas à partir du contexte historique qui montre comment ces deux institutions sont complémentai-res, mais à partir des conflits qu'elles engendrent chez une personne qui est artiste et qui en même temps est défini comme un croyant chrétien pen-tecôtiste évangélique, car ils sont compris comme des contraires. Cet article part d'une recherche autoréférentielle basée sur l'importance du corps dans une production artistique profane qui ne recourt pas à l'usage classique de l'iconogra-phie religieuse, mais utilise le symbolisme et les réflexions d'un contexte proche qui va du sacré ou domaine confessionnel, même l'utilisation de maté-riaux profanes et mondains.

    When we think of the religious body, we directly think of its sacred and profane value; if we confront these two concepts, we tend to oppose them, since, apparently, they cannot share the same place or if they share it, they will be constantly eclipsing or annulling themselves. Hence the need to make interpretations of the religious body from art and religion, not from the historical context that shows how these two institutions have com-plemented each other, but from the conflicts they generate in a person who is an artist and who at the same time is defined as a Pentecostal evangelical Christian believer, since they are understood as contraries. This article starts from a self-referential research that is based on the importance of the body within a profane artistic production that does not resort to the classic use of religious iconogra-phy, but uses symbolism and reflections from a close context that goes from the sacred or confes-sional field, even the use of profane and worldly materials.
