Resumen de En busca del gerundio perdido en la clase de alemán como lengua extranjera

Andreu Castell Vicente

  • The gerund is a non-personal verbal form that is used frequently in Spanish but lacks a similarly-perceived equivalent form in German. Second language learners speaking Spanish as their mother tongue face the challenge of finding the right formal resources to express in German what they would normally convey through the gerund in Spanish. Teachers of German must be aware of this linguistic gap and decide when and how to introduce possible expressive resources for the spanish gerund. This paper aims at helping teachers tackle this issue.
