Este libro trata acerca de la historia de la Inspección de Educación, desde su creación hasta transcurrido más de un siglo y medio de su existencia. En este estudio cronológico, se analiza el contexto de diferentes momentos históricos, de forma que las normas y leyes reguladoras de la estructura y funciones de la Inspección de Educación se ponen en relación con su contexto respectivo. En cada momento histórico, se efectúa mención expresa a las personalidades y a los eventos más importantes de la historia de la Inspección de Educación.
La obra también incluye una reflexión final, a modo de conclusión, acerca de los problemas de la Inspección de Educación. En dicha reflexión, el autor intenta dar respuesta a determinadas preguntas, tales como qué es la Inspección de Educación, cuál es su objetivo y justificación, quién inspecciona, etc. Asimismo, el autor incluye varias conclusiones a partir de diversas opiniones cualificadas

This book deals about the history of the Inspectorate of Education, from its creation until after a century and a half of its existence. In this landmark study, the socio-political contexts of different historical moments are analyzed, so that laws and standards that have regulated the structure and functions of the Inspectorate of Education are related to its respective context. In each historical moment, specific reference is made to the recognized people and the most important events in the history of the Inspectorate of Education.
The book also includes a final approach, in conclusion, about the problems of the Inspectorate of Education. In this final approach, the author attempts to answer some questions, such as what is the Inspectorate of Education, what is its purpose and justification, who inspects, and so on. Furthermore, the author makes conclusions from several qualified opinions.
