Resumen de La evaluación de la función directiva en el país vasco

  Considerando que la función directiva es reconocida como uno de los factores que de manera más significativa influyen en la mejora del funcionamiento los centros educativos, su evaluación proporciona una oportunidad para impulsar su eficacia en este cometido y con ello para contribuir a la mejora del sistema educativo.

  Teniendo esto presente, en la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco, CAPV, se ha desarrollado un proceso de evaluación cuya finalidad es, además de responder a la demanda normativa de colaborar en la correspondiente certificación, primordialmente impulsar la mejora del desempeño de los equipos directivos y con ello del funcionamiento de los centros y de su respuesta educativa al alumnado.

  Así se estableció el proceso de evaluación de la función directiva que ahora compartimos.

  Iniciaremos el recorrido explicando por qué y para qué de la evaluación. Después describiremos cómo, qué procedimiento hemos diseñado para intentar lograr el objetivo y, tras una referencia a lo realizado hasta el momento, intentaremos explicar los procesos que se están desarrollando para conocer si estamos logrando promover la mejora y, si fuera así, para saber en qué aspectos y en qué medida se está consiguiendo. Por último expondremos las dificultades encontradas y los retos que tenemos por delante

  Considering that the managerial function is recognized as one of the factors that most significantly influence the improvement of the operation of educational centers, their evaluation provides an opportunity to boost their effectiveness in this endeavor and thereby to contribute to the improvement of the educational system.

  Bearing this in mind, in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, BAC, an evaluation process has been developed whose purpose is, in addition to responding to the normative demand to collaborate in the corresponding certification, primarily to promote the improvement of the performance of the management teams and thus the functioning of the centers and their educational response to students.

  This is how the management function evaluation process was established that we now share.

  We will start the tour explaining why and for what of the evaluation. Then we will describe how, what procedure we have designed to attempt to achieve the objective and, following a reference to what carried out so far, we will try to explain the processes that are developing to know if we are managing to promote improvement and, if so, to know in what aspects and to what extent it is getting. Finally we will expose the difficulties encountered and the challenges that lie ahead
