Resumen de REINO UNIDO: El tratamiento de datos a raíz de la pandemia originada por el COVID-19

  Este artículo analiza los criterios publicados por el ICO con ocasión de los tratamientos de datos personales realizados durante la pandemia del COVID-19. Tales criterios se centran en establecer ciertas recomendaciones dirigidas a responsables, profesionales sanitarios y empleadores; la posición de la Autoridad inglesa como ente regulador ante la emergencia sanitaria; y sus Opiniones de 17 y 24 de abril sobre la iniciativa conjunta de Apple y Google para desarrollar tecnología de rastreo de contactos (una interfaz) y con ocasión de la generación del subsiguiente software.

  This paper analyses the criteria issued by the British Authority on data privacy, the ICO, in relation to the personal data processing in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is threefold: first, we will focus on these guidelines which are specifically addressed to controllers, health professionals and employers; second, it will be highlighted the official approach of the ICO on the health emergency; and finally, it will be examined the Opinions of 17th and 24th April 2020 on the joint initiative on COVID-19 contact tracing technology and the deployment of the subsequent software.
