Una mala gestión de estos tres pilares puede hacer tambalear el futuro de una organización, tanto por las pérdidas económicas provocadas por el incidente en sí, como por las multas que pudieran llegar a sufrir, o el daño a la reputación de la firma. Evitar que el incidente afecte a la disponibilidad, integridad y confidencialidad de los activos, así como su notificación correcta al organismo competente y la gestión comunicativa de la crisis resulta esencial en todo este proceso.

Managing Security Gaps in Organizations. It is essential to have a global knowledge of the process that must be followed when there is evidence of an incident, not only to ensure an effective response in time and form, which avoids its propagation and repercussion, but also because of the legal implications and possible damage to the brand’s image. Poor management of these three pillars can compromise the future of an organization, both for the economic losses caused by the incident itself, as well as for the fines they could suffer, or the damage to the firm’s reputation. Preventing the incident from affecting the availability, integrity and confidentiality of assets, as well as their correct notification to the competent body and the communicative management of the crisis is essential throughout this process.
