Afectividad en la praxis del docente universitario: ¿Competencia profesional o utopía?

    La sociedad del conocimiento reclama un cambio de paradigmas en la educación y esta transformación debe darse desde el docente, al mediar, guiar y orientar el proceso educativo. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo disertar acerca de la praxis del docente universitario, pero enfocada en la integralidad del ser humano, es decir, desde la condición humana de ese estudiante deseoso de desarrollarse y alcanzar sus metas, y quien además trae un cúmulo de carencias que no deberían ser obviadas por el profesor, como persona significativa en esa vivencia de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Para ello, se hizo una revisión documental de literatura especializada, con la premisa de la importancia de la afectividad como aspecto relevante en la Docencia universitaria, no sólo como parte de la formación del docente, sino como éste la aplica en su praxis y su influencia en el futuro egresado. En conclusión, la afectividad en la praxis del docente universitario, debería constituirse en una de sus competencias profesionales, más allá de la utopía y como fundamento de su condición humana y la del otro.

    The knowledge society calls for a paradigm shift in education and this transformation must occur from the teacher to mediate, guide and guide the educational process. The objective of this article is to lecture on the praxis of the university teacher, but focused on the integrality of the human being, that is, from the human condition of that student who is eager to develop and achieve his goals, and who also brings an accumulation of deficiencies that they should not be ignored by the teacher, as a significant person in that teaching and learning experience. For this, a documentary review of specialized literature was made, with the premise of the importance of affectivity as a relevant aspect in university teaching, not only as part of teacher training, but as it is applied in their praxis and influence in the future graduate. In conclusion, the affectivity in the praxis of the university teacher should become one of his professional competences, beyond utopia and as the basis of his human condition and that of the other.
