Resumen de "Prendam, matam e comam os travestis"

Pretendemos analisar por meio do jornal Lampião da Esquina – periódico lançado em abril de 1978 e que circulou até meados de 1981 – qual o tratamento dado a população LGBT (Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis, Transexuais e Transgêneros), por parte da grande imprensa e da imprensa alternativa daquele período. Queremos com isso, compreender a partir de algumas reportagens, como a imprensa brasileira acaba por ser mais um lugar de fala que constrói práticas de exclusão. Pensar o papel social que tal estrutura da sociedade cumpre, é refletir sobre as diversas formas de exclusão que sofrem os sujeitos que se comportam fora da sexualidade construída como hegemônica. Além disso, torna-se possível observar a importância do Lampião da Esquina não só como jornal alternativo, mas como ferramenta política que contribuiu para a visibilidade de tais questões em um período marcado por um regime militar e por mudanças nas formas de atuações dos grupos tidos ali como “minoritários”.

We intend to analyze, through the Lampião da Esquina newspaper - a periodical published in April 1978 that circulated until mid - 1981 - about how was the treatment of the LGBT population (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite, Transsexual and Transgender)by the altern ative press of that period. We want to understand from some reports, how the Brazilian press turns out to be one more place of speech that builds practices of exclusion. To Think on the social role that such a structure of society fulfills, is to reflect o n the many forms Of exclusion that suffer the people who behave against the sexuality constructed as hegemonic. In addition, it becomes possible to observe the importance of Lampião da Esquina not only as an alternative newspaper but as a political tool th at contributed to the visibility of such issues in a period marked by a military regime and by changes in the way of acting of the groups that was said as "minority".
