Introduction: Fatigue impairs the ability of neuromuscular control and influences the technical performance in basketball. Additionally, psychological aspects such as anxiety and stress are factors that can impair technical performance in situations of pressure in the game. Aims: The aim of the study was to verify the relationship between neuromuscular fatigue, anxiety and stress with technical performance in youth basketball players. Materials and methods: Twelve athletes from the U-17 category of a competitive basketball team participated in the study. Physical performance (muscular power), technical (pitches and passes) and psychological (anxiety and stress) were evaluated in two games of Rio Grande do Sul Basketball Championship. Muscular power was assessed before and after the games. The technical performance was assessed by means of technical scouts and the state of anxiety and stress were evaluated through a questionnaire. Results: The anxiety state (r = 0.709, p = 0.007) and stress (r = 0.700; p = 0.008) were related to the use of passes, while the stress state was inversely related to the use of three points r = -0.671, p = 0.034) and with the sum of pitches (r = -0.609, p = 0.027). Conclusion: It is concluded that there are relations between the technical performance and the state of anxiety and stress of athletes.
