  La géographie des systèmes d’intégration régionale est aujourd’hui diverse. Leur présence sur presque tous les continents - Europe (UE), Amérique (Communauté andine, MERCOSUR, SICA), Afrique (UA, Communauté des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest), Asie (ASEAN) - permet une comparaison intéressante des institutions communautaires et de leur droit respectif. Dans ce vaste panorama, l’Union européenne reste le référent en tant qu’espace régional le plus intégré. Au regard de ce contexte, le présent article propose une analyse comparative des expériences communautaires de l’Union européenne et de la Communauté andine afin de mettre en lumière leurs similarités et différences, en s’attachant particulièrement à démontrer comment la première a largement influencé la seconde. Loin du “romantisme” des premiers auteurs communautaires européens, cette démarche nous conduit à revenir aux sources du droit communautaire européen sans l’idéaliser, à la recherche d’éléments que l’on retrouve au sein d’autres systèmes d’intégration telle la Communauté andine.

  The geography of regional integration systems is nowadays diverse. Their presence on almost all continents - Europe (EU), America (Andean Community, MERCOSUR, SICA), Africa (AU, Community of West African States), Asia (ASEAN) - allows an interesting comparison of the Community institutions and their respective laws. In this broad spectrum, the European Union remains the reference point as the most integrated regional area. Against this background, the present article provides a comparative analysis of the Community experiences of the European Union and of the Andean Community in order to highlight their similarities and differences, with particular emphasis on demonstrating how the former has strongly influenced the latter. Far from the “romanticism” of the first European Community authors, this approach leads us to return to the sources of European Community law without idealizing it, in search of elements found in other integration systems such as the Andean Community.
