    Entendemos por evaluación de la docencia, la acción que convierte la actividad del maestro en objeto de reflexión. Es una actuación crítica positiva cuyo fin es alcanzar mayor conciencia del propio quehacer, que busca el conocimiento, pero ante todo, la comprensión de lo que ocurre en el aula y en la vida escolar, finalmente, pretende retroalimentar para mejorar el proceso enseñanza aprendizaje.

    La evaluación docente es un proceso continuo, permanente, con el potencial para ser formadora e implica procesos participativos y democráticos, además conduce al encuentro del otro y a la elaboración de proyectos. Es también un proceso sistemático para recoger información válida y confiable de evidencias útiles, oportunas y pertinentes sobre el desempeño del docente, para emitir un juicio de valor, conforme a determinados criterios, que fundamente la toma de decisiones sobre el hecho evaluado. Permite también definir acciones futuras, con el fin de comprender el hecho educativo y mejorar la enseñanza y el aprendizaje.

    We understand by teaching evaluation, the action that turns the teacher's activity into an object of reflection. It is a positive critical action whose purpose is to achieve greater awareness of one's own work, which seeks knowledge, but above all, the understanding of what happens in the classroom and in school life, finally, it aims to provide feedback to improve the teaching-learning process .

    Teacher evaluation is a continuous, permanent process, with the potential to be formative and involves participatory and democratic processes, it also leads to the meeting of the other and the elaboration of projects. It is also a systematic process to collect valid and reliable information of useful, timely and pertinent evidence on the performance of the teacher, to issue a value judgment, according to certain criteria, that bases decision-making on the evaluated fact. It also allows defining future actions, in order to understand the educational fact and improve teaching and learning.
