Un siglo y medio después de los primeros hallazgos de inscripciones líbico-bereberes presentamos un análisis de su investigación, así como de los problemas que aún quedan pendientes de resolver. Entre ellos, se aporta un listado de los yacimientos y signos conocidos hoy día en las diferentes islas, las de mayor número de inscripciones: El Hierro, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote y Fuerteventura. Al mismo tiempo, se comparan estos con los existentes en los diferentes alfabetos del norte de África y Sáhara.

A century and a half after the first descoveries of libyco-berber inscriptions, we present an analysis of the research, as well as the problems that are still pending to be resolved. Among them, a list of the rock art sites with inscriptions known today and the signs used in the different islands are provided: El Hierro, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. At the same time, these are compared with those existing in the different alphabets of north Africa and Sahara.
