The article proposes an analysis of some of the scenes and procedures of Clarice Lispector ‘s Star Hour, 1977, to revisit some formal aspects - novel, autobiographical, essayistic, dramatic - for the suspension of names, questioning and lack of response.
Forms that should not allow any generalizing, consensual formulation, because they are the ones that engender and are engendered by a northeastern girl who, in her rare existence, was seen by the narrator in a street in Rio de Janeiro. Perhaps the greatest cruelty of the book is at this point: asking questions, the most acute, does not save Macabéa from the worst that, at the end of the book, could not be more concrete: the gutter. And the worst, especially it, does not cease to demand a form.
