    João Cabral de Melo Neto reiterates themes, images and rhythms in his poetic works.

    The figure of the telephone acquires plasticity to transmit both fear and death, as well as light, constancy and integrity of the city-woman, being an image present in several works of the poet.     João Cabral de Melo Neto reitera temas, figuras e ritmos em suas obras poéticas. A figura do telefone adquire plasticidade para transmitir tanto o medo e a morte, quanto a luz, a constância e a inteireza da mulher-cidade, sendo imagem presente em obras diversas do poeta. Este estudo pretende comentar alguns desses poemas que apresentam a figura do telefone para compreender a rede de relações sintáticas, semânticas e rítmicas promovida por Cabral para tecer narrativas do feminino e do onírico.
