  De los barrios periféricos de Buenos Aires y San Pablo, surge un nuevo espacio en la narrativa contemporánea, un nuevo movimiento que denominamos Literatura de los márgenes. Este fenómeno latinoamericano comienza hacia fines del siglo XX y se desarrolla activamente en los primeros años del siglo XXI, dando visibilidad a las zonas periféricase interpelando desde lo cultural y lo lingüístico a la sociedad “letrada”. En este artículo realizaremos una lectura crítica de dos novelas: Capão Pecado del escritor brasileño Férrez (2013) y Cuando me muera quiero que me toquen cumbia de Cristián Alarcón (2012), con el objeto de reconstituir algunas características de los procesos sociales que han permitido el advenimiento de esta literatura y algunas marcas culturales presentes ellas. En lo que se refiere a los presupuestos metodológicos que sostienen la argumentación, este artículo se propone a realizar un cruce interdisciplinario entre la sociología y los estudios literarios, buscando interpretar a los hechos sociales incluyendo la dimensión estética brindada por la literatura

  From the peripheral neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and San Pablo, a new space arises in contemporary narrative, a new movement that we call Literature of the margins. This Latin American phenomenon begins towards the end of the 20th century and is actively developed in the first years of the 21st century, giving visibility to the peripheral areas and challenging the "literate" society from the cultural and the linguistic aspects. In this article we will make a critical reading of two novels: Capão Pecado by the Brazilian writer Férrez (2013), and When I die I want to be played cumbia by Cristián Alarcón (2012), in order to reconstitute some characteristics of the social processes that have allowed the advent of this literature and some cultural brands present them. Methodologically, this paper aims to make an interdisciplinary cross between sociology and literary studies, seeking to interpret social events including the aesthetic dimension provided by literature.
