    El presente artículo es el texto del trabajo final de licenciatura en Tuología Pastoral, en la facultad de Tuología, de la Pontificia Universidad de Salamanca. Partiendo de la revolución supuso en los años 70 del siglo XX la aparición de un nuevo tipo de música moderna -heavy metal-, el autor estudia el contenido de las letras de las canciones y propone la utilización pastoral de este tipo de música en la nueva evangelización, a la luz de los documentos más recientes del magisterio de la Iglesia, especialmente del Papa Francisco.

    his article is the text of the final work of a degree in Pastoral Theology, in the faculty of Theology of the Pontifical University of Salamanca. Starting from the revolution in the 70s of the XX century, the appearance of a new type of modern music -heavy metal-, the author studies the content of the lyrics of the songs and propases the pastoral use of this type of music in the new evangelization, in light of the most recent documents of the Magisterium of the Church, especially of Pope Francis.
