Aciertos y retos de la oferta turística actual del turismo de naturaleza y ecoturismo en el municipio de Ocosingo, Chiapas en México

    El siguiente diagnóstico situacional se realiza mediante una investigación financiada por el Programa para el Desarrollo Profesional Docente, para el Tipo Superior en México y fue desarrollada durante los meses de enero a octubre de 2016. Dentro de los objetivos planteados fue generar un diagnóstico sobre la oferta turística actual que tiene el municipio de Ocosingo, Chiapas, un segundo objetivo fue proponer un Plan de Desarrollo Turístico. La principal oferta turística está compuesta por el Turismo de Aventura y el Ecoturismo. El municipio tiene la mayor concentración de centros ecoturísticos, ubicados en la comunidad lacandona de Lacanjá Chansayab. Sin embargo, de los 90 centros ecoturísticos detectados en Chiapas por la Secretaría de Turismo, sólo 55 de ellos están ofertando servicios, de los cuales sólo 5 están considerados para ofertar sus servicios al turismo internacional y ninguno de ellos se encuentra en el municipio de Ocosingo. Por ello se presentan los aciertos y retos que tiene este sector y su importancia en la activación del desarrollo económico de las comunidades indígenas y rurales asentadas en este municipio.

    The following situational diagnosis is performed by means of a research funded by the Teachers Professional Development Program, for Higher Education in Mexico and was developed from January to October 2016. Within the objectives was to generate a diagnostic on the current tourist offer that the municipality of Ocosingo, Chiapas has, a second objective was to propose a plan for tourism development. The main tourist offer is composed by adventure tourism and ecotourism. The municipality has the largest concentration of ecotourism centers, located in the Lacandona community of Lacanja Chansayab. Although 90 ecotourism centers identified in Chiapas by the Secretariat of Tourism, only 55 of them are offering services, of which only 5 are considered to offer their services to international tourism but none of them are located in the municipality of Ocosingo. Therefore, the successes and challenges that this sector has are given as well as its importance in the activation of the economic development of the indigenous and rural communities settled in this municipality.
