    La aparición de las Escuelas Normales significó la ruptura definitiva con el sistema gremial imperante de preparación de los maestros.

    Con su institucionalización se eleva la consideración profesional de estos docentes, evaporándose los vestigios de un tipo de destrezas artesanales adquiridas en las escuelas primarias al lado de otro maestro para estudiar en centros donde obtener conocimientos sobre el empleo de las técnicas y procedimientos de enseñanza.

    Estas páginas relatan la inauguración de la Escuela Normal Central de Madrid que preparó a las primeras promociones de alumnos que establecieron las denominadas Escuelas Normales subalternas o de provincias, haciendo mención especial aquí a las primeras gestiones y constitución de las Escuelas Normales en el distrito universitario de Sevilla.

    The appearance of the Normal Schools meant the definitive rupture with the prevailing guild system of teacher preparation.

    With their institutionalization, the professional consideration of these teachers rises, the vestiges of a type of artisanal skills acquired in the primary schools being evaporated next to another teacher to study in centers where to obtain knowledge about the use of teaching techniques and procedures.

    These pages relate the inauguration of the Central Normal School of Madrid that prepared the first promotions of students who established the so-called Subaltern Normal Schools or provinces, making special mention here to the first efforts and constitution of the Normal Schools in the university district of Seville.
