Resumen de Globalizzazione, protestantesimo storico e movimento ecumenico

Tiziano Rimoldi

  • The paper provides a synthetical overview of the progressive engagement of the historic Protestant denominational traditions and the ecumenical movement in the fight against the global social disorder. The World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Conference of European Churches (CEC) took a clear stance against economic globalization in the Nineties, starting from a peculiarly theological position. The Protestant component of the WCC was essential to promote and to sustain this position; the possible weaking of Protestant representation in the future could endanger this stance
