Frente a las dificultades de aprendizaje de los estudiantes, quizás sería pertinente reflexionar sobre las implicaciones y repercusiones que existen entre los procesos de la enseñanza y del aprendizaje. La posición teórica de Robert Gagné ha sido una de las primeras en explorar este dominio de investigación.
Primeramente, este artículo presenta un resumen de esta teoría y, enseguida, propone estrategias didácticas de acuerdo a esos principios. Estas estrategias han sido experimentadas en la enseñanza del español a nivel universitario.

In view of the difficulties associated with learning encountered by students, it would be reasonable to reflect upon the interrelationship that exists between the processes of instruction and of learning. The theoretical position of Robert Gagné was one of the first to explore this particular line of research. This article first presents a summary of Gagné¿s theory and later goes on to develop teaching methods in accordance with the principles of this theory. Moreover, the article demonstrates that these methods have been validated through present university-level Spanish instruction.
