    En la presente investigación se diagnosticaron las necesidades educativas que presentan los padres con hijos adolescentes que presentan intento suicida, con el propósito de realizar una guía psicoeducativa que permita la orientación y educación familiar. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo en el Policlínico Universitario Manuel Piti Fajardo ubicado en el municipio de Palmira, provincia de Cienfuegos, Cuba en el año 2014. La visión metodológica integra el enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo, pues ambos se han utilizado en los distintos momentos que ha tenido la investigación y dialogan en el análisis e interpretación de los resultados. En la fase de diagnóstico de necesidades se aplicaron entrevistas semiestructuradas (padres y especialistas), un cuestionario y la técnica de los 10 deseos a padres. Los resultados obtenidos más relevantes se asociaron a la detección de necesidades de los padres entre las que se encuentran: profundizar en las características de laadolescencia, la relación de los hijos con el grupo de amigos y la pareja, así como los distintos factores de riesgo que influyen en el adolescente, el apoyo emocional, las relaciones padre-hijos y conocimiento de la enfermedad.La guía psicoeducativa elaborada ofrece posibilidades de orientar a los padres que tienen hijos que han presentado intento suicida.

    In the present investigation educational necessities were identified that parents have with their teenagers children, that have inclination to the suicide, with the object to make a psychoeducative guide that allows the orientation and family education. A descriptive study was made in the Universitary General Hospital Manuel Piti Fajardo located in the township of Palmira, province of Cienfuegos, Cuba in year 2014. The methodological vision intergrates a quantitative and qualitative point of view, because both have been used in different moments that the investigation has had and talk in the analysis and interpretation of the results. In the phase of diagnosis of educational necessities semi-organized interviews were applied (parents and people specialized), a questionnaire and the technique of the 10 wishes to parents. The most important results obtained were associated to the detection of parents’s necessities between you can find: go into detail about the characteristics of the adolescence, the connection of children with the group of friends and the partner, just like different factors of risk that influence in the teenager, the emotional support, the connections father- sons and knowledge of the illness. The psycho-educative made guide provides possibilities to orient parents that have children with suicide attempt.
