A realidade escolar portuguesa tem vindo a alterar-se progressivamente com a entrada de alunos estrangeiros nas escolas portuguesas – 120 nacionalidades, sendo 36 730 alunos do 1º Ciclo (DGIDC, 2005). E os resultados obtidos, pelos alunos, num estudo levado a cabo pela DGIDC (2008), mostram que as maiores dificuldades radicam ao nível da produção de texto. Ora, num ambiente onde impera a diversidade cultural, afigura-se essencial analisar em que medida os manuais de PLE/PL2 contribuem para ultrapassar esta lacuna
Portuguese Scholar reality is changing with the progressive new income of foreign students in Portuguese schools - 120 different nationalities, belonging 36 730 students to primary school (DGIDC, 2005). Moreover, results obtained by students, in a DGIDC research (2008), show that their biggest difficulties are focused in writing text. In an environment where cultural diversity is increasing, it is essential to analyze the contributions of scholar books of Portuguese as a foreign language and of portuguese as a second language in order to get over this situation
