En el siguiente trabajo explicamos las tensiones que sufre un turista desde que abandona su hogar hasta su regreso. Centrados en las ventajas que da la auto-etnografía, establecemos cinco dimensiones importantes. Cinco estadios conforman el viaje turístico, “búsqueda exploratoria-comparativa”, “desapego temporal”, “la verificación de la identidad”, “sentido de adaptación”, “el retorno a la sociedad o grupo de origen”. Cada estadio o dimensión ha sido debidamente explicada en el presente trabajo. Es por demás importante agregar que desde su partida, el ser turista se valida en ese otro que es el nativo. Desde diferentes perspectivas, el miedo a viajar presente en la mayoría de todos nosotros exhibe sanamente ese terror primigenio a perderse y morir fuera del hogar

Through the present essay review, we explain the tensions and conflicts faced by a tourist from the leave of home, to the return. Based on the benefits of auto-ethnography, we establish five element dimensions to be considered. These five stages conform the tourist travel: “an exploratory-comparative quest, a temporal disengagement, the verification of identity, the adaptation, and the return”. Each stage is being explored in the development. It is important to add that from its departure, the tourist is validated by the other-native. From diverse views, the fear of traveling enrooted in our mind represents an ancient concern for death abroad.
