Resumen de Almacenamiento y transmisión documental: redes y sistemas

Aborda este artículo un tema generalmente soslayado, pero fundamental para el planeamiento: el acceso, almacenamiento y transmisión del gran volumen de documentación que precisa y genera la gestión y la planificación del territorio municipal. Se esboza un panorama general de las nuevas técnicas en este ámbito: Telefax, CD-ROM, Videodisco... que lentamente dejan de ser novedosas en nuestro país al ir generalizándose el uso de estos nuevos medios en el ámbito municipal y de los profesionales del urbanismo. Tras describir una a una las principales innovaciones técnicas en el ámbito documental, se aporta como anexo un cuadro de síntesis de seis soportes, detallando sus características de forma que permite comparar y evaluar las ventajas y limitaciones de cada uno de ellos.

The paper deals with a subject often given but scant importance that is in fact central to any kind of planning, namely the access to, storing and transmission of the great bod y of documentary material required for and produced by the implementing proceedures and planning out of municipal land. The papere gives on overall picture of those new techniques in this field such as FAX, CD-ROM, Video Disks etc., here shown as having gradually lost their novelty value on this country thanks to having been eased into the normal working proceedures of the municipal and town and country planning worlds. After describing each and every one of the more important technological advances in t he documenting field. An appendix offering a six-base synthetized image is added to the paper, this thus allowing for a detailing of the techniques in question in such a way as to indicate their strengths and weaknesses.
