La preservación asegura que los recursos culturales tangibles e intangibles se conserven para futuras generaciones , y adicionalmente se encuentra firmemente vinculada con el turismo cultural o patrimonial. El presente estudio argumenta que estos dos conceptos deberían entrelazarse con el objetivo de beneficiar a las comunidades que adoptan ambas alternativas como pilares de su desarrollo. Utilizando entrevistas en profundidad con expertos en ambos campos, y mediante investigación teórica se llega a una mejor comprensión de los conceptos y la relación existente entre los mismos.

Preservation ensures that intangible and tangible assets will last for future generations, and it is highly related to heritage tourism. This paper argues that both concepts should be merged together in order to benefit the community that embraces both alternatives. Through in depth interviews and literature research, a better understanding of both concepts and the interrelations existing between them will be explained in this report.
