  The advances in the exchange of information brought by the use of computer networks, particularly the internet, makes possible the migration of procedural files to the digital way. Despite the current fears about the security of electronic files, which seem unjustifiable, there are several advantages in its use. The present article intends to clarify some relevant aspects on the subject by the analysis of the implantation of e-Proc by the Federal Regional Court of 4th Region.

  O avanço na troca de informações trazido pela utilização de redes de computadores, particularmente a Internet, possibilita a migração dos autos processuais para o meio digital. Apesar dos temores existentes sobre a segurança dos autos eletrônicos, que se demonstram infundados, diversas são as suas vantagens. O presente artigo pretende esclarecer aspectos relevantes sobre o tema, inclusive com a análise da implantação do e-Proc pelo Tribunal Regional Federal da 4ª Região.
