La recepción real se caracterizaba fundamentalmente por su alto contenido ideológico, dado que el espectáculo celebraba la relación filial entre la ciudad y la monarquía, la escenificación de este vínculo variaría a tenor de las estrategias políticas a expresar. Partiendo de las pautas organizativas es plausible rastrear la presencia del artesanado en las conmemoraciones y definir el carácter de su participación, que tomaría distinto cariz según el motivo por el que es convocado. Esta contribución analiza el rol de los oficios de la ciudad de Valencia en las recepciones reales en los siglos XIV y XV.

The royal entry was characterized mainly by its high ideological content, given that the ceremony celebrated the filial relation between the city and the monarchy, the staging of this link varied according to the political strategies to be expressed. Starting from the organizational guidelines it is plausible to trace the presence of the artisans in the commemorations and to define the character of their participation, which would take different aspects according to the reason for which they were convened. This contribution analyses the role of the craftsmen of the city of Valencia in royal receptions in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.
