Eficacia del uso conjunto del cuestionario y espirómetro portátil en la consulta de Atención Primaria

    La EPOC es una enfermedad con una prevalencia elevada y un importante impacto tanto a nivel asistencial como personal. Sin embargo, podemos dirigirnos a ella como la “gran subestimada”, calculándose cifras de infradiagnóstico que rondan el 70% en la Comunidad de Madrid.

    Su carácter crónico, progresivo y parcialmente reversible han sido el origen de múltiples estudios que valoran la necesidad de un diagnóstico precoz y hacen uso de distintas herramientas y dispositivos destinados a ello. Basándonos en la literatura existente, las múltiples guías publicadas y siendo conscientes de la necesidades de nuestra población, hemos planteado este proyecto piloto que tiene como objetivo principal demostrar la eficacia de la utilización conjunta del cuestionario COPD-PS y el dispositivo Vitalograph COPD 6.

    COPD is a high prevalence disease with an important impact both at the health and personal levels. However, we can refer to it as the "great underestimate", calculating figures of underdiagnosis that are around 70% in the Community of Madrid.  Its chronic, progressive and partially reversible character has been the origin of multiple studies that value the need for an early diagnosis and make use of different tools and devices intended for it. Based on the existing literature, the many published guides and being aware of the needs of our population, we have proposed this pilot project whose main objective is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the joint use of the COPD-PS questionnaire and the Vitalograph COPD 6 device.
