    En este artículo se examinala participación de los tenientes dealcalde mayor y subdelegado en el repartimiento forzoso de mercancía en Nueva España durante la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. Los objetivos son analizar las funciones del teniente en dos vertientes: como agentes comerciales y justicias, así como el uso de la coerción institucionalizada y las estrategias implementadas para la distribución y cobro del repartimiento

    This article examines the participation of the tenientes de alcalde mayor and subdelegado in the repartimiento in New Spain in the second half of the XVIII century. The objectives are to analyze the functions of the tenientes in two aspects as commercial agents and justice; as well as the use of institutionalized coercion and the strategies implemented for the distribution and collection de repartimiento.
