Recientemente, el legislador europeo ha aprobado la refundición del Reglamento sobre notificación y traslado de documentos judiciales y extrajudiciales en materia civil o mercantil (Reglamento UE 2020/1784). El objeto del presente estudio es abordar las principales novedades que plantea dicha refundición y, al mismo tiempo, poner de manifiesto las cuestiones que merecían ser —y no fueron— objeto de reforma.

Recently, the European legislator has approved the recasting of the Regulation on service of judicial and extrajudicial documents in civil or commercial matters (Regulation EU 2020/1784). The purpose of this study is to address the main novelties raised by such recasting while highlighting the issues that deserved to be —and were not— object of reform.
