Planificar el alta hospitalaria de un paciente inmovilizado, a propósito de un caso

    Existen muchas patologías e intervenciones quirúrgicas que provocan una inmovilidad temporal en pacientes que, hasta el momento de su proceso clínico, eran autónomos. El hecho de recibir el alta hospitalaria con un régimen de vida cama-sillón genera situaciones de incertidumbre y ansiedad. Ésta situación puede paliarse dando consejos y aportando recursos que faciliten la transición del paciente al domicilio.

    Este artículo recoge las indicaciones que deben darse a los pacientes que se encuentran en dicha situación.

    There are many pathologies and surgical interventions that cause temporary immobility in patients who, until the moment of their clinical process, were autonomous. The fact of being discharged from hospital with a bed-chair lifestyle generates situations of uncertainty and anxiety. This situation can be alleviated by giving advice and providing resources that facilitate the patient’s transition to the home.

    This article contains the indications that should be given to patients who are in this situation.
