Resumen de La configuración de la arquitectura áulica en Castilla a finales del siglo XV: "La casa del cordón"

Elena Paulino Montero

  • Late Gothic palaces are complex units of analysis that must be considered beyond the usual taxonomic classifications and formalistic defini- tions. This paper presents one study case, the Cord’s House in Burgos (Castile), from its local context to its global projection. This article deals with the temporal complexities of the monument, considering its relation to local models and its dialogue with its own past. It analyzes how this locally configured architecture was also responsive to international courtly practices, as well as the circulation of knowledge, architects and forms, spanning from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic context at the end of the fifteenth century.
