The author, throughout this work (remembering Prof. Américo da Costa Ramalho, from the University of Coimbra, on the centenary of his birth) initially addresses the problem of the adamism. He follows, on these reflections, the perspective that was established by the British medieval poet, Chaucer, in the translation of a passage from Inferno (Divine Comedy), by Dante Aligheri. On the other hand, he addresses the contribution of Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, in particular of his opus Heptaplus, regarding the days (as the title suggests) of the creation of the world

O autor, ao longo deste trabalho (em evocação do Prof. Doutor Américo da Costa Ramalho, da Universidade de Coimbra, pela passagem do centenário do seu nascimento) aborda de início a problemática do adamismo. Segue, nestas reflexões, a perspectiva que foi estabelecida pelo poeta medieval britânico, Chaucer, na tradução de uma passagem do Inferno (Divina Comédia), de Dante Aligheri. Aborda, por outro lado, o contributo de Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, em particular da sua obra Heptaplus, quanto aos dias (como esse titulo sugere) da criação do mundo.
