    Este ensayo se motiva a partir de la doble pregunta en torno a los trazos característicos de los estudios de las ideas en América Latina y el Caribe y a los aportes que realizan a sus propios ecosistemas intelectuales y más allá, a comienzos del siglo XXI. Consta de dos partes: en la primera, ya publicada, se trató de realizar una cartografía comprendiendo los principales grupos de trabajo y proyectos colectivos. En esta segunda, se intenta responder, sobre la base de la cartografía elaborada, a dos preguntas: una, sobre los trazos que definen los estudios eidéticos en la región, teniendo en cuenta temas-problemas, épocas, territorios, figuras, tendencias e inspiraciones teóricas; otra, sobre las contribuciones realizadas que permiten (o no) mejorar el quehacer, teniendo en cuenta su pertinencia, su capacidad para articularse a otras disciplinas y a las sociedades, su capacidad de aprender y adaptarse, sus aportes al desarrollo de las ideas y la “eidodiversidad”. Para terminar, se realizan algunas reflexiones y recomendaciones, sugiriendo una breve agenda de pesquisa

    This essay is motivated by the dual question of the characteristic features of the study of ideas in Latin America and the Caribbean and the contributions they make to their own intellectual ecosystems and beyond, at the beginning of the 21st century. It consists of two parts: in the first, already published, an attempt was made to map the main working groups and collective projects. In the second part, based on the mapping, we attempt to answer two questions: one, on the traces that define eidetic studies in the region, taking into account themes-problems, periods, territories, figures, trends and theoretical inspirations; the other, on the contributions made that allow (or not) to improve the work, taking into account their relevance, their ability to articulate with other disciplines and societies, their ability to learn and adapt, their contributions to the development of ideas and “eideodiversity”. Finally, some reflections and recommendations are made, suggesting a brief research agenda
