Resumen de El Colombiano frente al fenómeno abstencionista en la elección de constituyentes: una mirada desde el análisis crítico del discurso de Teun van Dijk

A partir de las bases del Análisis Crítico del Discurso (ACD) el presente artículo examina la respuesta de El Colombiano frente al fenómeno abstencionista en la elección de constituyentes para la formulación de la nueva carta magna en 1991. Para ello se realizó la revisión de dos niveles básicos del ACD en el discurso periodístico (contextual y lingüístico), en donde se reconoce la tendencia oficialista del diario y su intención por simular neutralidad. Este texto constituye un aporte al análisis de las narrativas periodísticas predominantes en Colombia, las cuales no suelen ser estudiadas con suficiencia.

From the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), this paper examines the response by El Colombiano towards the abstention phenomenon that occurred during the election of the National Constituent Assembly representatives of the Constitution of Colombia in 1991. For this, the reviewing of two basic levels (contextual and linguistic) of CDA for journalistic speech, it was possible to identify the newspaper in favor of government, as well as its aim to simulate impartiality. This paper is a contribution to the analysis of mainstream journalistic narratives in Colombia, which are understudied for the most part.
