Reflexiones sobre la cliometría y la deriva neoinstitucional en la historiografía durante la segunda mitad del siglo xx

    La irrupción de la cliometría generó debates entre economistas e historiadores en torno a cuestiones epistemológicas y metodológicas centrales para comprender los marcos normativos de la historiografía. Aquí se analiza el surgimiento de la cliometría y la posterior deriva neoinstitucional en relación a la historiografía atendiendo a las discusiones generadas en los espacios francés y norteamericano desde la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Para ello se recurre a un relevamiento bibliográfico de los mayores representantes de dichas corrientes y se recuperan y cotejan las principales discusiones que abrieron historiadores y economistas sobre la cuestión. Se concluye que, a pesar de la constante renovación teórica que tuvo la cliometría, postulados epistemológicos y metodológicos elementales que se construyeron durante el siglo XX en la historiografía, fueron marginados por propuestas que pretendían analizar la historia económica prescindiendo de ella.

    The irruption of cliometry generated debates among economists and historians around central epistemological and methodological questions to understand the normative frameworks of historiography. Here, the cliometry emergence and the subsequent neo-institutional drift in relation to historiography are analyzed, attending to discussions generated in the French and North American spaces since the second half of the 20th century. To this end, a bibliographic survey of those currents main representatives is used and the main discussions opened by historians and economists on the matter are recovered and collated.

    It is concluded that, despite the constant theoretical renewal that cliometry had, elementary epistemological and methodological postulates that were built during the twentieth century in historiography, were marginalized by proposals that sought to analyze economic history regardless of it.
