    A categoria testemunho tem alcançado nas últimas décadas um significado decisivo. Depois de um longo período de esquecimento emerge no âmbito eclesial, principalmente a partir do Concílio Vaticano II, como um instrumento de possibilidade de redescoberta da positividade da relação entre a Verdade comunicada e a liberdade responsiva. Nessa perspectiva, o testemunho pertence a ordem do mistério da liberdade humana. O presente artigo examina a categoria testemunho como linguagem do indizível, uma vez que, compreendido como linguagem, a categoria não se apresenta simplesmente como um argumento para a razão, mas portadora de “algo a mais” e indizível, capaz de dar sentido a uma vida que se entrega até às últimas consequências em uma plena liberdade. A reflexão, fundamentando-se na relação entre fenomenologia e teologia em Jean-Luc Marion, tem a responsabilidade de demonstrar que o testemunho enquanto linguagem do indizível excede em sentido e se manifesta como fenômeno saturado.

    The testimony category has achieved a decisive meaning on last decades. After a long period of oblivion, it emerges into the ecclesial dimension, mainly as from the Second Vatican Council, as an instrument of possibility of rediscovery from the positivity of the relation between the communicated Truth and the res-ponsive freedom. In this perspective, the testimony belongs to the order of hu-man freedom mystery. The present article examines the testimony category as language of unspeakable, once, understood as language, the category doesn’t simply present itself as an argument to the reason, but carrier from that “some-thing else” and unspeakable, able to give sense to a life that gives itself up to the ultimate consequences in a full freedom. The reflection, grounded at the relation between phenomenology and theology in Jean-Luc Marion, has the responsibi-lity of demonstrate that testimony qua unspeakable language exceeds in sense and manifests itself as a saturated phenomenon.
