Resumen de Improntas glaciares del último máximo glaciar en la parte occidental del Macizo Central de la Sierra de Gredos (Península Ibérica)

This work presents a morphological analysis of an area of the Sierra de Gredos in the Central Iberian System. For the analysis, a photointerpretation with a stereoscope was carried out, for which satellite images and aerial photographs were used. Also, 3D images and contour level shapes of the study area have been used. All this has been combined in a Geographic Information System (GIS) and validated later during field works. The obtained results from the analysis have allowed to deduce the extent of the glaciers during the LGM, based mainly on the blocks and the morainic cords that presumably define the extent reached by the ice during that period. In some areas the LGM has been delimited with the aid of trimlines and other morphological characteristics of the valleys. The paleoglaciers of the study area reached lengths between 935 m and 6,750 m. This analysis of the glacial extent during the LGM is a starting point on which to base future research on paleoglaciology in the study area

Este trabalho apresenta uma análise morfológica de uma área da Serra de Gredos no Sistema Central Ibérico. Para a análise, foi realizada uma fotointerpretação com um estereoscópio, para o qual foram utilizadas imagens de satélite e fotografias aéreas. Imagens 3D e camadas de contorno da área de estudo também foram usadas. Tudo isso foi combinado em um Sistema de Informação Geográfica (SIG) e posteriormente validado em trabalho de campo. Os resultados obtidos com a análise realizada permitiram deduzir a extensão das geleiras durante o LGM, com base principalmente nos blocos e morenas que presumivelmente definem a posição alcançada pelo gelo durante esse período. Em algumas áreas, o LGM foi delimitado com a ajuda de linhas de acabamento e outrascaracterísticas morfológicas dos vales. Os paleoglaciares na área de estudo alcançaram comprimentos entre 935 me 6.750 m. Esta análise da extensão glacial durante o LGM constitui um ponto de partida para basear futuras pesquisas sobre paleoglacialismo na área de estudo.
