    This article lists two pillars of the Christian faith: the Bible and spirituality. It indicates how the Bible, interpreted from a literary perspective and as a mediator between the believer and the deity, contributes to the enrichment and deepening of the spiri-tuality. For that, the concept of pleasure in reading, worked by Roland Barthes, is used. Scripture is the eye through which I see God, and he sees me. A cri-tical analysis of exegetical rationality and its historicist vocation is presented. Argues the need to incorporate into the exegesis the emotive aspect of biblical texts. Finally, from the theoretical elements, exercises of literary interpretation are developed.

    Este artigo relaciona dois pilares da fé cristã: Bíblia e espiritualidade, indicando como a primeira, lida em perspectiva literária e em seu papel mediador entre o que crê e a divindade, contribui para o enriquecimento e aprofundamento da segunda. Para tanto, é utilizado o conceito de prazerna leitura, trabalhado por Roland Barthes. A Escritura é o olho por onde vejo a Deus e ele me vê. Desenvolve-se, igualmente, uma análise crítica da racionalidade exegética e de sua vocação enfaticamente historicista e argumenta-se pela necessidade de incorporar à exegese o aspecto emotivo dos textos bíblicos. Por fim, a partir dos elementos teóricos, são desenvolvidos exercícios de interpretação literária.
