Resumen de Livro de Rute: a narrativa refletindo as questões da mulher e as medidas socioprotetivas

Cláudia Andréa Prata Ferreira

  • English

According to the Torah, the Book of Ruth brings together three fundamental elements on social issues, socioprotective measures, and a triple category pro-tected by YHWH: Ruth falls into the condition of a poor, widowed foreign woman. The narrative that surrounds Ruth becomes a kind of rescue of social legislation that aims to restore fair procedures to the underprivileged social strata. The do-minance of female protagonism, the point of view of history, and the alliance of Naomi and Ruth embody a sororal and supportive partnership, ensuring bread, survival - women planning and executing their own future together. This study presents the analysis of the structure and literary genre, the theological thinking that permeates the whole text and elucidates the cultural and religious aspects. Finally, it seeks to understand how the socio-protective measures present in the Book of Ruth are applied to the protagonist characters. The dialogue between Theology and Literature in the Book of Ruth is a fundamental key, which allows us to approach the study of female protagonism and socioprotective measures.
