Resumen de O Cego e o Rosto Uma leitura ético-poética de Clarice Lispector

  This article interprets the short story “Amor”, by the writer Clarice Lispector, in dialogue with the thought of Emmanuel Lévinas, here evoked both by the per-tinence of his reflection on otherness for the reading of the Claricean tale, and by his ethical-literary theory that brings to the heart of his ideas the consideration of fiction literature. Thus, based on Lévinas’ ideas about the otherness of the litera-ry text, the experience lived by the character Ana, the protagonist of the story, is here understood in the light of Levinasian reflections on the encounter with the otherness of the Face of the other. The writing of the story allows us to perceive how this encounter, marked by the infinity of difference that launches the human experience to the openness to what can no longer be controlled and not even known, invades the experience to the point of obligating the character to a per-sonal (re)positioning in relation to other people, but without this transformation leading to distance from those who are the closest.

  Este artigo trata de fazer uma interpretação do conto “Amor”, da escritora Clarice Lispector, em diálogo com o pensamento de Emmanuel Lévinas, aqui evocado tanto pela pertinência de sua reflexão sobre a alteridade para a leitura do conto clariceano, quanto pela sua teoria ético-literária que traz para o cerne de suas ideias a consideração da literatura de ficção. Assim, a partir das ideias de Lévinas sobre a alteridade do texto literário, a experiência vivida pela personagem Ana, protagonista do conto, é aqui compreendida sob a luz das reflexões levinasianas sobre o encontro com a alteridade do Rosto do outro. O relato do conto permite perceber como esse encontro, marcado pela infinitude da diferença que lança a vivência humana à abertura ao que não pode mais ser controlado e nem mesmo conhecido, invade a experiência a ponto de obrigar a personagem a um (re)posicionamento pessoal frente às outras pessoas, mas sem que essa transformação leve ao distanciamento em relação àqueles que são os mais próximos.
