Evaluación y diagnóstico del daño a la formación en pozos horizontales de la franja petrolera norte de Cuba

    La presente investigación tiene como objetivo la aplicación de una nueva metodología para calcular el índice de productividad en pozos horizontales de la Franja Petrolera Norte de Cuba. Aplicando los métodos de cálculo de Joshi y Economides los resultados obtenidos muestran que la mayor parte de los pozos en estudios están altamente dañados, y sus producciones reales alejadas de las ideales para perforaciones horizontales. El análisis de las curvas de oferta en el fondo de los pozos corrobora la influencia negativa del daño a la formación en los valores de eficiencia de flujo. Tal parámetro es indicativo de que en los pozos estudiados la producción real está muy por debajo de la producción óptima para ser pozos horizontales.

    The objective of this research is the application of a new methodology to calculate the productivity index in horizontal wells of the Northern Oil Belt of Cuba. Applying the calculation methods of Joshi and Economides, the results obtained show that most of the wells in studies are highly damaged, and their real productions far from ideal for horizontal drilling. The analysis of the supply curves at the bottom of the wells corroborates the negative influence of damage to the formation on the flow efficiency values. This parameter is indicative that in the wells studied the actual production is well below the optimal production to be horizontal wells.
