Resumen de Impact of an RPA system that replaces human operators for validating documents in electronic invoicing

  Este estudio incluyó el análisis, desarrollo e implementación de un sistema que reemplaza las funciones de un operador humano durante la validación de documentos digitales en servicios de facturación electrónica, donde el proceso fue realizado por trabajadores con errores humanos, tiempos demasiado altos, facturas electrónicas no registradas y rechazadas , generando costes adicionales y malestar a los clientes. El propósito del estudio fue determinar el impacto de un sistema basado en Robotic Process Automation (RPA) – Automatización Robotizada de Procesos- utilizando software gratuito y bibliotecas gratuitas en la plataforma Java, que reemplaza a los trabajadores en la validación de documentos y que se adaptó a las necesidades requeridas por el proceso de facturación electrónica con bajos costos de implementación. Los resultados fueron satisfactorios. Se logró la reducción de costos a través de la reducción de tiempo y la mejora de la eficiencia durante el proceso de validación de documentos. La cantidad de registros de documentos aumentó un 16,09% y el porcentaje de documentos rechazados disminuyó un 12,79%. Se recomendó evaluar el impacto del software RPA en otros sectores.

  This study included the analysis, development and implementation of a system that replaces functions of a human operator during the validation of digital documents in electronic invoicing services, where the process was performed by workers with human errors, too high times, unregistered and rejected electronic invoices, generating additional costs and discomfort to customers. The purpose of the study was to determine the impact of a system based on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using free software and free libraries in the Java platform, that replaces workers in the validation of documents, and that was adapted to the needs required by the electronic invoicing process with low implementation costs. The results were satisfactory. It was achieved the reduction of costs through the reduction of time and the improvement of the efficiency during the process of validation of documents. The quantity of records of documents increased by 16.09% and the percentage of rejected documents decreased by 12.79%. It was recommended to evaluate the impact of RPA software in other sectors.
