    The aim of this study is to reflect on the literary production of the Spanish writer Ramón del Valle-Inclán (1866-1936) and on the classification of his work in the literary schools in Spain in the transition between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. At that time, writers and intellectuals used literature as a means of reflection on the country's political problems, giving rise to the movement known as the Generation of 98. At the same time, the publication of Azul (1888), by Rubén Darío, gives rise to Modernism Hispanic. It is common for literary criticism to try to classify Valle-Inclán as belonging to the Generation of 98, now belonging to Modernism. From the reading of the La Carlista trilogy (which fictionalizes the series of civil wars that occurred throughout the 19th century in Spain) and considering the ideas of Fuentes (2017), Mainer (2017), Burguera Nadal (1999) and Trouche (2008) ), we perceive the impossibility of classifying the author, categorically, in one or another movement, once his writing becomes meaningful and original, thus exceeding the possibility of classification in the Spanish movements of his time

    Este artigo tem por proposta, a partir da obra de escritores latino-americanos contemporâneos – nomeadamente, Mario Bellatin, João Gilberto Noll, Silviano Santiago e Roberto Bolaño –, propor o conceito de bioficção como ferramenta de análise literária. Traçaremos, então, uma linha de diálogo entre a biopolítica e a autoficção, conceitos já amplamente utilizados pelos estudos literários ao abordar a literatura produzida em nosso tempo, com o intuito de demonstrar como a bioficção se constrói dando ênfase ao corpo, à vida como potência impessoal e à diferença, afastando-se da base epistemológica constituída pela crença no sujeito, na representação e na identidade.
