    Con el objetivo de encontrar la densidad y cobertura de los algarrobos “Prosopis pallida” en el desierto de Sechura, se establecieron 12 parcelas al azar, de 1 hectárea de área, encontrándose que la densidad de algarrobos en el desierto de Sechura es 13,17 algarrobos/hectárea, la altura promedio de algarrobos en el desierto de Sechura, es 2,4 metros; el promedio de la copa de los árboles de algarrobos, es de 49,17 metros cuadrados, el tamaño de la copa de árbol más repetido del algarrobo, es 54,58 metros cuadrados.
